This driver is powered by 12-volt batteries from Bosch's Litheon line of lithium-ion batteries. Lithium-Ion batteries have a life cycle up to 5 times longer than any other competitive lithium-ion batteries on the marketplace. These batteries are only to be charged with the BC430 lithium-ion 10.8-volt and 12-volt max lithium-ion charger. The Litheon batteries are compatible with all Bosch 10.8-volt and 12-volt max lithium-ion tools. Bosch’s Litheon batteries have optimal battery life and performance, 35 percent more run time, and up to two times as many recharge cycles.
